Ode 36

Color seems to be a hot topic at the moment

Blue gave us Hope

Yellow is Jealous apparently, or it used to be

Now it symbolizes Friendship

Friendship ain’t the wave

I’m lost at sea

Jealousy is my captain

Without a helm, I’m full sail at the mercy of its whim

It drives me on a meandering course through my emotions

Barely staying in port long enough for me to set foot on dry land and take a gander at the locals

That yellow gets to caress your fingers

It gets to reflect the gleam of your eyes

It gets to grace your top lip

It gets to rest between your (insert rhyme here)

So yeah I’m jealous

Jealous cause it’s stuck on you

Well I am too but you get the point
